Was wondering what the reputation of Citi in SF is in terms of exit, deal flow and reputation in the west coast tech scene? I have heard some conflicting things about the group and am interested.

This was posted earlier as well - you may want to check out that thread. In sum, tech banking in SF is pretty much dominated by 3 players with the rest of the deal flow scattered for grabs by other BB and prominent MM satellite offices. Even among those "others", Citi SF is nothing to write home about. That said, they run M&A out of this group, so you will likely get to touch that product. Expect to pitch quite a bit.
As for the culture, it's not awful - nothing spectacular as well. It's just less M&A and more pitching for similar hours compared to other banks. When I met the office a few definitely seemed like very cool people but a few others did not come across as interested or very invested (obviously hard to if you've had a long day or week). Exit ops are definitely on the weaker side - there have been a couple corp dev exits in recent years, but very few PE placements (and none to notable shops). There have been a few juniors who have lateraled to Qatalyst in recent years so keep in mind lateral opportunities.
From what I've seen / heard, juniors get grinded to the bone for pitches and no exits.
