What are the exit ops like for a commodities (energy, metals, softs) middle office credit research and risk role like? Can someone detail whats it like to work in such a role? Any chance to move to FO trading?

During the interview, the stuff I gathered from the guy was that the role would be to: 1) support traders by looking at counterparty credit risk 2) research on companies 3) financial analysis 4) middle office role

Base salary wise, is it fair to ask for 60-70k?
