Confused on recruiting timelines - Am I screwed?

I understand BB are done with recruiting. However, looking through numerous banks job postings (non bb), I see posts for SA 2016.

So - Does this mean I should attempt to network still? Or given that it is January, should I be cold calling every bank? I understand for boutiques, cold calling/previous connections is the only option. But, I looked on UBS's website, for example, and there are still SA posting offerings. Also, a couple MM and boutiques are coming at end of january to my school for info sessions, so that further confuses me as to whether I should pursue networking or straight cold calling.

Thanks for any advice guys.

BBs are not done recruiting. I don't know if it's misinformation or people just lying, but I've had VPs at 2 different BBs offer to bring me in for super days in January. I go to a target, but didn't go through OCR and just reached out via email in December.

I don't want to specify the exact banks, but the ones I'm referring to would probably be considered below the GS/JPM tier. My suggestion would be to reach out to all of them if you're interested. Worst case scenario you lose 30 minutes of your time.

I'm pretty sure all BBs are still recruiting. However, it's geared towards target schools that still haven't done OCR. Small/regional boutiques are doing superdays in January/February so plenty of time for them. Start networking right away. Some larger boutiques like Baird/Cowen/BMO are ongoing too.
