Rising sophomore at a SLAC here. I recently learned that the founder and managing partner of a boutique I'm interested in (not an EB, but not a random place either—latest deal was in the billions) is an alum of my school, and is also the only alum at the firm. Is it at all worth trying to email him? I'm really interested in the particular industry they specialize in, but I'm also somewhat scared of contacting an executive.
