Hey guys - I’m interviewing at a private equity owned startup with 10 employees for a corp dev role. I was asked what my comp expectations were and, frankly, was not expecting the question. I told him around or just under 6 figures - tried to keep it vague. A few questions:
1) What should my strategy be with negotiating? Should I ask for equity in the business?
2) This is an immediate hire which means I’d forfeit my Analyst 2 bonus. Do I ask them to compensate for that? If so how much?
3) I’d need to relocate. Does that count for anything?
