Corporate finance offers - please help!!

I've been offered two roles in M&A corporate finance. The salaries being 10k apart but savings are almost the same due to difference in costs too. Can anyone please provide what is good from a long term growth, opportunities and exit opportunities perspective please? Any views would be highly appreciated! Thank you very much.

Whoever marked it as low quality is an unhelpful coward. If you can't help someone, refrain from spreading negativity at least and look into the mirror first.

Firstly congratulations for receiving both offers - never easy moving across from Audit to Corporate Finance.

Most of this decision will be influenced by which city / geography you would like to develop a Corporate Finance career within. If there are reasons for why you would like to stay / live in Scotland, then Grant Thornton would be the right choice. If you are indifferent to geographies, then Oaklins S&W will provide greater exit opportunities, as London-based advisors (of which there are many), will typically prefer hiring existing London M&A candidates.

Both places will involve a high volume of small cap /; lower mid-market transactions. Oaklins S&W will likely do more cross-border work which would generally be a positive, though will probably have longer hours as London teams on average seem to work slightly longer than regional ones (again a generalisation).

Another loser who doesn't have the right hardware between their legs posting monkey shit. Easy to do that cuz it's all anonymous isn't it? Coward wimps
