Cowen IB - Best Groups
Hey guys,
Was lucky enough to receive a superday for Cowen and was wondering what their best groups/groups to know would be? I know they are very strong in HC, but what about TMT or M&A? Any insights would be really appreciated!
Congrats on the SD! Its a very niche group but I know that their Cannabis vertical within their Consumer team is one of the best on the street due to the fact that they were the first major/respectable player to move in and start coverage of the space.
Can I ask about your process timeline? How long ago was your first round and did you have anything between first call and your SD invite?

I only know them because HC is their strongest sector and that is the sector I happen to be in, but within HC they are very heavily weighted in the capital markets side, similar to Leerink. They do a little M&A but not much, and overall less than even some of the healthcare-only boutiques out there. However, they do want to build up this practice. I imagine that the focus on ECM is spread at least to some extent across the firm, as they are very good in that product group. Please someone correct me if I am wrong about this.
