Credit Suisse - Recruiting timeline?

I was told by HR that Credit Suisse won't notify if you have been selected for first rounds until late February. Is there any reason why there timeline is so late? What other banks have a later recruiting timeline?

if u were at harvard or wharton, and this is for the ny office, my spidy sense would be tingling regarding the recruiting. might indicate trouble at CS.

if you have any connections within the company with some level of seniority, i suggest you try to find out from them.

overall, if u aren't at one of the targets, they might just be paying you lip service while they recruit at other schools first.

The world has changed. And we must change with it.

------------ I'm making it up as I go along.

indian-bankerFor the case of non-targets, you won't find out until the target school kids find out about their superdays. At least that's what I know off. Also, it seems senior contacts aren't as effective at CS as they are at other banks.
This is just plain incorrect. And CS senior contacts were as helpful if not more so than any other place I interviewed with. Only place that it might've been more helpful at was UBS.

At a target, our CS Final Rd is Monday for IB, Research, S&T & GMSG.

I don't know because I'm only conveying what HR told me. They said you'll find out around the same time students from core schools find out about their final rounds. Perhaps HR didn't want to give out final decisions which I don't really understand, because if you want to reject a candidate, do it asap. CS contacts are very helpful. I'm not saying they're not helpful, all I'm saying is that HR doesn't seem to be as influenced by them as they are in other places.

We found out about offers on Monday @ Target UG
