I would like to get a few opinions on their operations in Canada (energy in particular) as it is my only BB offer (the rest are Canadian banks). I know they are amazing in energy globally but how does it compare to the other BBs in Canada/what kind of reputation do they have (or did energy mostly get moved to Calgary)? Any solid indications on whether they are fucked going forward?
Energy is in Calgary, they opened an office there this year.
I don't know how active the BB usually are but in terms of energy in Canada, CS has 11 energy deals (M&A,debt, and equity) totalling about 6.5b under their belt YTD. Just set up an office in Calgary with a big hire in Brian Felesky to help manage relationships.
