Anyone catch the Reuters article on this? Sounds like it won’t happen but would be huge shakeup……larger market cap than Citi.
Thoughts? Would it make them a powerhouse?

Idk, might be more of a two halves make a whole more so than a 1 + 1 = 2 situation if you know what I mean.
read UBS would just be looking to CS entire IB. Would boost UBS everywhere: ECM/ DCM would get biggest bump followed by equities trading then M&A
They mention that CS may consider selling of their American IBD. Seems like an interesting process. I think Wells Fargo could have been a potential buyer had it not been for their asset cap.
I truly saying was surprised when seeing this. I was reading about Softbank's Greensill case and while searching in Google about Greensill saw in the news feed about the possible merger of these two banks. Looking for the possible course of action. But the reality of the merger itself is under question.

This exact conversations happens annually and nothing ever comes to fruition, search "UBS CS merger" the results have to be several pages long dating back to pre-08
