CS M&T offer vs Gugg HC offer? Advice needed.
Title says it all. Have offers for both for FT. Seeking advice on which way people would go on this one. Thanks!

whatchu wanna do post-IB?
Honestly unclear on that still. Mind going into your thought process for either?
If you would consider options outside of finance after the analyst stint, I would go with CS as it would likely open more doors and benefit from higher overall brand recognition.
Gugg is more a niche finance name
I'd probably decide based on a) if you prefer a bulge bracket or boutique model and b) if you're more interested in m&t vs hc
Lol not sure if this was facetious or not but yes that’s definitely the thought process. I was more asking are both opportunities equal enough that it should get to that or is one a no-brainer over the other
Exit opps are similar, pay is higher at gugg but I was implying that for me these two firms are similar enough that I'd choose based on the prior two qualitative factors.
I'm biased, but I'd go CS M&T. Is that one NY-based? I'm very familiar with the west coast group but unsure of NY
CS M&T is only media and telecom, their tech team was split out entirely so no West Coast group. I think generally Guggenheim will be weaker than CS overall, but to be frank M&T is not an especially strong group which is why the tech team wanted to split off in the first place.
CS M&T is pretty strong. Good culture, deal flow and exits. I'd lean heavily in that direction
I've heard that Gugg healthcare is a very strong group, and that they've worked on some pretty big deals. If you liked the people there better than those at CS, seems like you shouldn't dismiss that option just because CS is a better known name.
Was this for a lateral position or for FT?
also wondering
Totally depends on if you want BB vs Boutique model. You will make more money and have a better time at Gugg than CS. Gugg TMT and HC have advised on some of the biggest deals of the last few years
