CS/Jefferies Drug Test as a lateral?
Morning lads, managed to get offers from Credit Suisse and Jefferies as an IB lateral from a shit shop (didn't get tested here though). Both offers in NYC. Was wondering if either of these firms still drug test (or at least test for weed). Yes, I have been clean for over 3 weeks. Yes, I'm too afraid to ask my group or HR. Yes, I checked the posts but didn't find anything. Just wanted some clarity because I'm grateful for both offers but don't want to lose either one. Appreciate the help, thanks in advance.
It's illegal to test for preemployment. Also there haven't been any posts in the past few months with people saying they got tested since the law changed.

You get a background check at Jef and they do drug test…but they are not drug testing now due to COVID. They said that likely when we go back to the office they will give us us very fair warning as to when the drug test will be
When did they say this. Also wouldn't the drug test technically not be pre-employment given that you technically will have been working on the job for a few months already meaning they can fire you for THC?
HR told me during the background check process, they just said the drug screening process is on hold for the tome being and they will let us know when It starts back up again. Not sure as to the type of test
CS is “postponing testing to a later date due to covid”. They didn’t say when but I’m assuming when we go back into office.
