(current soph) Can’t find internship for next summer in ibanking, where else should I look?

I’ve applied to a bunch of ibanking internships, corporate finance internship, and anything along those lines with a bunch of companies. Mostly everyone has said that they’re only looking at juniors. I had a internship last summer with a company close to home, so i was hoping to add another internship next summer to set myself up nicely for my junior year. where/what else should i look at?

Boutique (not EB, but actual boutique shops), private wealth management at a BB (but recruiting has already happened), boutique VC/growth equity shop, placement agency. Really anything finance related that you can spin into a coherent story next year

Try networking with alumni from your school at smaller shops (don't stress about having a recognizable name this summer - you're still young)

Want to agree with what is above ^^. Don't stress about not finding an internship. I worked in retail between my sophomore and junior year and have just accepted a summer analyst offer for this upcoming summer at a MM firm.

If I were you I would start networking with as many alumni as possible and try to find anything finance related.
