Currently heavy on modelling & my hand hurts as hell...

Currently I am doing a lot of modelling in excel. I did it without any external keyboard, just the plain laptop keyboard and a pretty good logitech ergonomics mouse (not the top series, just the basic one). What should I do? Some people recommend to buy a good keyboard, but I'm not sure which ergonomics keyboard will work the best. Please share ur set up, thanks!

Honestly the standard logitech keyboard that’s like $25 on amazon does the job and is durable. If possible i think getting an external monitor makes modeling much easier ie small cells and formulas easier on the eyes

In my experience get keyboards that have shallow keys, the harder or deeper you have to press keys, the more your hands will hurt

I have a fancy TKL mechanical keyboard, but the keys felt crowded and had lots of travel. I kept misclicking, so I bought a cheap Dell KB on eBay (KB216), and I like it so far, but you can also get the Logi K120 if you want something more traditional. Having a full-set KB helps so much for Excel, IMO.

I just splurged on a MX Master 3S and MX Keys S combo. It's definitely overkill, but I got the student discount and figured I'd instead practice on something nice for the coming summers.

Hmmm... Okay will definitely try to work on external keyboards. I heard the MX keys series can't be elevated right? will this cause a problem?

The keyboard is already elevated; there are just no feet to adjust it flat. It's similar to the Magic Keyboard on the iMac or typing on a MacBook, so it's very comfortable for me + I get the highest WPM on it.

Have done a pretty comprehensive comparison recently between ergonomic keebs on the market and am planning to buy the Glove80 by MoErgo.
Glove80 seems to be the most ergonomic while maintaining the 80 keys layout (retaining the function keys and arrow keys) so should be good for excel.
But it could be an overkill and its VERY expensive - $450
