Cutting Back on Typos
First year analyst here. How frequently do you guys make errors in your work (think typos, misspelling name, etc.)? Any tips on fixing this habit would be much appreciated.

Other than hitting F7 (especially excel), best advice is to work on something else for a few hours or go back to the deck the next morning when your eyes are fresh
First, spell check. Second, whenever you make an error like that, write down the solution and make it a check list. Title slides, dates, updating the exec summ, etc. Just build an idiot's guide to checking your own work.
Print out your check-list and decks, and go through step by step while you're ticking and tying across pages. It's time consuming, but your deliverables will improve.
