DB Lateral Interview

Wanted to share this awful experience. Unprofessional and rude. I will hide some details so I won't be retaliated. Never had such experience before. I have been recruiting for my company for years and I am also in the interview process with a few banks/corporates, so I can tell what they are doing here is absolutely unprofessional.

Timeline first, was reached by their recruiter and was then recommended to talk to their head. The first round was fine. Think their head liked me and he alluded that I would be moved forward. However, the entire process was SLOW. From the initial outreach to the second round, it took them over 2 months. 

From the second round, it went straight down to hell. First, was asked to share availabilities with three VPs individually. Usually, juniors or HR should help coordinate a meeting but if this is what they asked - fine. One of their VPs asked to send a meeting invite without naming who to do it so I thought it would be his associate/analyst/HR since they were all copied. Cuz his email was literally like "Send a zoom invite." No "Thanks", no "Please" etc. Never seen someone using such condescending tone to people they never met/work with and someone they tried to hire. Even internally, our VPs/Ds/MDs always add a please or thanks. This entire time, there were four juniors from his side copied on this email but no one did a thing. I then realized he was probably asking me and sent one myself. 

During the interview, he showed up late. He kept asking who I worked with and then told me he knew them all??? What is the intention here? He then asked a couple of questions in a different way to learn the specifics about a live that is under the process...The way he asked me just felt wrong. As if he wanted to figure out what companies they are. He spent decent amount of time poking my live deals as if I lied my resume. Grilled me on some valuation questions that I dont think himself knows the answer...Poker face the entire time. 

I held myself up and be professional but this dude acting like god judging me from head to toe is intolerable. Immediately stopped communicating with them after the interview as I can tell culture is terrible. Probably the most arrogant group I've ever met. Plus, never encountered them on any deal. What are they doing these days? Any intel on them or am I just unlucky?
