DB London 2026

In the process of team allocation. I have a strong interest in the Healthcare sector but after reading the posts here on the team, I am less convinced about joining them. Is the HC team that bad?

As an alternative, I understand Industrials is one of their strongest groups and I also find the sector interesting. Is it as toxic as people portrays it here? My interactions so far with them have been fine but much more technical than the other teams.

Industrials is good. Long hours, good exits, good deal flow. Just don't pick it if you are mediocre, because you won't convert

Maybe UK is better? DB HC in the US is abysmal wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy

HC is by far the worse team at DB London. They do one good deal every few years and the juniors are not happy. They work some of the longest hours doing pure pitch work and 90% of their live deals are acqfin / levfin related because financing is where the deal flow is.

That being said, if healthcare is your passion, do follow it. But no one has exited the team to a good place in a long time and people only go to corp development, with the exception of one or two outliers.

Bad culture as well
