DB vs Barc
Got 2 offers for both DB & Barclays within IBD (no coverage group selected yet)
I am leaning toward DB because I want to do industrials and they have a better industrials group in London
Any general advice?

Career Resources
Barclays is a sinking ship. All the md who generate revenue are fleeing quickly. Definitely to avoid.
Was at DB. Go to Barclays. Barclays has been strong recently. Pay / hours are not amazing but they are also pretty bad at DB. Think you’d have an edge in terms of exits from Barclays and especially if you get a top team there.
Barclays is collapsing. DB has hired 75 new MDs. In the long run definitely DB. If you’re looking for an exit in the next year or two (still risky), Barclays.
For Industrials yes DB hands down. The head of the team is an absolute rainmaker. The team is consistently top 3/top 5 in league tables. Strong in business services and automotive, decent in A&D and capital goods, weak in chemicals
“weak in chemicals” not like they just advised on biggest chem deal this year. Please don’t listen to intern
Can’t speak London but Barclays in the US has a very strong industrial group — good exits to PE pretty often. I’ll caution that it’s an absolute sweatshop
