DCM Offer....Adice

Hi,

Was selected for a DCM group in an industry that doesn't particularly interest me. I'm also not set on M&A/traditional IB groups but would prefer those to DCM as would be more analytical. Am also more interested in AM/ER/VC. I recognise that getting out of DCM to buy side is basically impossible so wondering if anyone thinks its adviseable to ask to be placed into a different group/IB division (ECM/coverage) or just stick it out in dcm and hope to move into something more interesting to me.

Also, is ECM more likely to give better exit ops to something like AM/ER as opposed to DCM or just as unlikely?

Thanks

Well do you have any other offers? at this point your not going to get anything in M&A or coverage. Take what you can get, dont be picky. If you have other options then let us know but if you only have DCM take DCM
