Yeah man, this is a great idea. You should drop a few hundred bucks on some nice training materials now instead of waiting for your firm to give them to you for free. In fact, it's also a good idea because of the overlapping content on Series 79. It would be smart to take it now and wait a year or two until you take the Series 79 as opposed to taking both exams back to back as everyone else does. Good luck man.

 

Why the monkey shit? I thought my comment was pretty informative for someone contemplating the merits of taking the SIE earlier than you need to. Is it not?

 

I took the SIE in Feb 2021. I’m currently a Junior. The material is pretty basic and fundamental but vast. Definitely helpful for upperclassmen classes. I took it with Achievable. It’s comparatively new as opposed to established players like Kaplan. It focuses on the questions which you are most likely about to get.
