this decision should be really simple. do you want to do banking or consulting? focus on what your long term goals are. if you want to work in banking then take JMP and conversely FTI for consulting. your decision should not be based on brand or prestige as these are not comparable, different fields of work.

 

FTI if you want to do consulting JMP if you dont. Seems pretty straight forward... one is consulting, one is not.... one is west coast, one is not...

What do you want to do and are you okay living on said coast to do it? Problem solved.

JMP crushes it as a co-manager in IPOs, not a bad place to be.
