Best bet is DCM, ABF, or loan syndications. There will be a lot less downtime during the day which can be good and bad.
ABF is basically exactly what you’re looking for iirc
What are your guys thoughts on the loan syndications team (within CB division) at WF CLT? Exits?
Decent given how big WFs balance sheet is, hours seemed pretty reasonable and the people in the group are great. I don’t think the group exits anywhere that different, could maybe swing coverage or DCM if you got some modeling exp (but I was under the assumption they don’t hold pen on most of the models from the people I spoke to) but by and large I think loan syndication is a chill job, with good pay relative to hours, and is a group that’s always busy/unlikely to get cut in a downturn so most people just stick around
What other CB teams are there?
ABF OR DCM 100%. They work 7am - 7pm. Not many late nights at all. Plus during the placement day they take like 8 analysts for ABF and at least 5 for DCM so if you rank them high you will get it. Get paid the same as everyone else I think you have your answer.
