This isn't a major lie... you'll be fine. Ignore the guy above. 9 times out of 10 transcript mismatches aren't ever addressed -- at least I've never seen anything crazy amongst me and my friends in the industry for rounding. If you're still recruiting after this, change it to a 3.5 or keep it as 3.52/4.00 going forward and you'll be fine. 3.5 vs 3.6 won't mean much given most cutoffs are 3.3 anyway. If your GPA was around that range this could be a more serious situation.
Its a testament to OPs lack of integrity, he willingly lied about his GPA to make himself standout and got caught. Whether its a .7 or .07 difference, I dont see how this could be justifie
I think you'll be fine just sending the transcript. But next time not worth the risk to move from a 3.5 to 3.6 (arguably worth the risk going from a 3.4 to a 3.5, but not 3.5 to 3.6).
