Deloitte Corp Finance or Private Credit

I’m currently a SA at a super small boutique capital markets advisory firm doing debt origination and advisory for LMM and just came about an opportunity to join DCF.

For context, I’m a junior at a non-target and was initially targeting PC firms I have soft contacts at (think Apollo , Ares, etc.) straight out of college but wondering if that’s unrealistic. Also worth noting that the DCF opportunity is not limited by time.

Would best bet for PC/PE long term be DCF to MM boutique to PC/PE? Or do I full send to PC now? Could I lateral from DCF to PC?

I come from a small and non-coastal town so have really shallow understanding about what’s realistic or not. Would love to hear thoughts.

I think you are really underestimating the difficulty of joining PC at a MF straight out of college, especially recruiting FT. the programs historically have pretty low intern retention rates even and don't hire FT.

you may be able to go to soem LMM PC shop especially in your own state but your best bet is lateralling from DCF to a better IB
