Deloitte vs. KPMG vs. PWC

Hello everyone!

I wanted to know whether there are substancial differencies between the corporate finance departments in auditing companies such as Deloitte, KPMG or PWC. Any of them is more well known or has a better culture? I have seen the rankings but I don't want to trust them as they change every year, so to me all companies sound the same.

Thank you very much for your advice (I have received an offer from PWC, which hurries up me to give an answer, and I want to make sure I won't lose a big thing if I abandon the selection processes of other similar companies).

this is an IB board..Regardless, there are differences city by city.

I would suggest going through the whole process with the other firms. The work is going to be the same and you should go where you fit best with the people.

People say this for banking too but I think its bullshit. In Accounting, it really is a different story because everybody does the same thing: audits.

i have not worked with corp fi at a big 4, but the parallels i assume Hank are very similar to IB. lots of advisory work, but no bought deals or underwriting. so i'm sure blas would be encouraged to hear your advice, with respect to IB.

as for my advicec, i worked with a corp fi group, and the vp's that came from PwC were always the best and appeared most versed.

Corp. finance at big4 is not audit.

IMO "fit" should be very high on your list of priorities, although it's pretty difficult to establish this as you don't really get to know someone that well in interviews.

The quality of relationships that you build will be much more important to your career in the long run than the marginal difference between PwC vs. Deloitte on the resume.

not a great idea to join corp fin at big 4 as grad... the best and most successful analysts there are CAs who transfer to the division once they qualify
