That's a psychometric test and it would ideally need practice to pass it. there are various ones online to view beforehand.
For what it's worth, I'd suggest going back to read the feedback reports on your earlier failed attempts. DB has a list of qualities on which they grade candidates, and the minimum is getting a "moderate suitability" rating on all of the qualities.
Try having a list of DB's values with you while you take the test. Think less about what you'd rather do and more about the course of action for an ideal DB candidate. Hope this helps!
In this context does "pass" mean moving to the next stage in the OA, or does it mean moving to the AC?
Just the next stage. After the SJT is a behavioural test, then a cognitive ability test (basic SHL, the usual), then the pre-recorded video interview. If HR/Junior Talent looks at your entry and likes it enough, you'll get an AC invite.
Frustrated to get rejected at the SJT phase. The test is so arbitrary and it seems absurd that they would reject a candidate (before looking at their CV) on the grounds that they would speak to a colleague about 'their difficulty explaining a concept to a client' before their manager. Ridiculous.
It's not arbitrary though. It's a good assessment of how you work.
Lol, the more I tailored my answers to what would be ideal in an IB environment (after my first internship), my pass rates for the test dropped from what it was before my first IB internship 😂
