Did you guys use your vacation days in IB?
First year and a VP asked if I was going to use my vacation days. I remember hearing about first years last year getting a week off during December but heard it’s not a good thing to do

Second year analyst told me that you are not supposed to take it unless you have medical issues- Take that for what you will but it is not viewed positively in my group.

Yes. The time between Christmas and New Years is always dead so you can take time off then. Also a common practice to take a week off in July, plus normal 3-day weeks like MDW, 4th, LDW.
