I just got an SA offer but don't see it in my contract ):

is that normal?

See you there next summer lol. Took a look through the contract again, there's also that $750 allowance for travel that could be considered part of the signing bonus, but that's niche. Also unless you're flying to NYC from the west coast, I doubt any travel expense will really use that allowance.

2K is about right. Treat it like a relocation stipend though and put it towards your summer housing etc. Some might pay it early but most pay it with your first paycheck

Incoming SA at BB, in our offer letter we got a $2,000 relocation stipend that can be thought of as a signing bonus, but that’s the official name/usage.

When are these signing bonuses/housing stipends usually paid out? My start date is in ~3 weeks and I still haven't received the $2k mentioned in the letter.

Ask the people who they recruited at their early diversity super day how much they got, you might not like the answer. If I had to take a not so wild guess, I would say it's double this.
