Do I disclose minor disability?

I'm applying to SA programs in IB here soon. I'm a straight, white male, so not a traditional diversity candidate. However, I do have a gastrointestinal disorder that is listed on all of the disability lists in the diversity sections of applications. It doesn't affect my working capacity, however I am diagnosed with it. Would it help or hurt to disclose? There's no room to specify which disability, so I don't want them thinking that I have some psychological disorder or something; I do want to take advantage if it helps though.

If you’re talking about the normal job application questions, it doesn’t help because that’s just info for the us government that gets aggregated. The firm doesn’t can’t actually see what you put.

If you’re applying for a disabled diversity type program, I wouldn’t do it because they’re going to ask a question about it and they are looking for a poster child.

Fwiw I also have a gi condition and never clicked the box.

Agree with above - those disability reporting items you see on there are aggregated government reporting stats, checking a box there will not class you as diversity. "Diversity" programs are specific pipelines, i.e. Citi Early ID or Evercore Diversity Summit, not just checking a box on the normal application.

Disability is not typically considered diverse - let's be real, about half of the applicants could get an anxiety diagnosis. I don't think any of the programs even include disability anymore - the specifications for diversity are typically gender, race, stuff like that. You would get laughed out of the room if you tried to use a GI disorder as diversity, sorry. Appreciate the hustle though.

Thanks. Do you think that those making hiring decisions see it? If they do I'll leave it off but otherwise will disclose since it's the truth.
