No, unless the employer is permitted to do so pursuant to the provisions of Labor Law Section 201-D(4-a).” - from the New York State DoL.

Pretty sure only use of heavy machinery and federal employees are subject to testing.

In short: no they won’t test you. Just don’t show up high and you’re fine.

 

Wouldn’t rely on this, had to do urine test (screened for THC, too) for NYC internship at an AM because I was 21. this law only applies for 21+ because it is legal
