Does senior-heavy = red flag?
What does it mean if there is low to zero analyst/associate headcount, but nearly a dozen seniors between partners, MDs, and VPs? Is this a red flag?

Potentially. This could happen because of a handful of scenarios; shit place to work so junior bankers don't last long before jumping ship, firm could be planning for growth and loaded up on MD's and will backfill Analysts and Associates as the MDs ramp up, comp could be shit and they can't attract talent, etc. If the tenure for Analysts and Associates is short it's probably a trash place to work, a quick check on LinkedIn for people who used to work there can usually answer that question.
+1, experienced the same
I also find that some smaller banks want to just to keep MD on the "books" to look stronger but chances are a lot of those MD maybe close a deal a year or something like that.
depends on the firm.
Big name? either growing, or sweaty as heck, losing junior talent (creep on LI to see how long have the seniors been with the firm).
No name? potentially a bunch of license hangers / wannabes (used by the firm to make it look larger than it is)
The classic inverted pyramid. Top post I think covers it well. I'd leave it as "run away"
