Based on the most helpful WSO content, TD Securities does sponsor H1B visas, but sponsorship policies can vary by office and group. While there were reports of around 50 total H1B sponsorships in 2024, with 6 being analysts, it is unclear whether these analysts were laterals from the Toronto office or direct hires. It’s worth noting that sponsorship decisions can be case-by-case, and having strong internal support or connections can improve your chances.

Case by case.sometimes banks will not want to do the 3 year OPT even if you “don’t require sponsorship” because of the uncertainty of what to do at the three year mark. I’ve heard others doing J1 visa and structuring the job as an “internship”. It really depends wish I could give you a direct answer. Analyst level is very very tricky. Associate becomes easier to navigate.

be perfect. technically strong and good culture fit. that's the h1b bar across the street.
