Does this match your experiences from IB?

Hello, I'm applying this fall for undergraduate studies. I want to write in my CommonApp essay about my passion for IB. Does this description picture what it can be like? The rest of the essay is positive about the IB of course.

Thanks to everyone for reading and giving honest feedback.

Yes, you are totally right! English is not my first language. So, perhaps "When 1:00 A.M. comes"? Or just "At 1:00 A.M."?

Brother, your post does not make sense as nobody actually longs for constant 1am nights and horrible relationships with your partners. This is just the nature of the job, and the people going into it accept the sacrifices they will have to make for the benefits this job provides. I am not sure how this story about staying up until 1am and being surrounded by smart people a) shows that you want to attend a good college b) shows that you want to do finance at all. You are 16/17 years old, please go socialize with your peers, and think about what things you are good at and enjoy doing so. Don't get sucked into the prestige-chasing crowd that is the junior finance crowd and find something you are really passionate about.

Thank you, I am just trying to describe how it is usually perceived. This is not the whole essay. In the rest, I focuse on the reasons why it is the career I'd love to have.

  • I have an amazing relationship with my partner that I’ve sustained during my Analyst stint
  • comments usually don’t come at 11:30 (although not extremely uncommon)
  • comments on 4 slides and the “model looking off” isn’t going to cause an all nighter (As an analyst you know the model inside and out and can probably tell what looks off)
  • No analyst / associate is paying $6k a month for rent

All in all whatever you wrote is pretty inaccurate and your grammar sucks
