I'm currently recruiting for UBS Global Banking and Markets and heard about things like they are very reluctant/difficult in sponsoring OPT and H1B. Is this true? I'm interviewing for 2023 SA and not sure if they can sponsor by the time I graduate and start full-time. Thanks a lot!

I know someone they sponsored for - not sure if this was specific to her group, but she was sponsored cuz they really wanted her on the team

Yes, they do sponsor H1B for full time hires.
When you begin the interview process with UBS, their HR team reaches for screening and asks about work authorization and asks folks that require visas to fill out a visa assessment form. Thereafter, they evaluate each individual's situation for visa sponsorship.

Isnt H1-B a lottery system though? So even if you are being sponsored for it, what happens if you dont get selected in the lottery? They pull the offer? Or are you talking about transferring from TN or OPT eventually to H1B
