Does your sophomore internship really matter?

The title says it all. Obviously, if you get a BB sophomore analyst position that is huge, but the odds of that are super slim especially because I am not diversity. So given that most sophomores are interning at small / no name boutiques, does the name of where you intern really matter or is it more as long as you are doing some sort of IB or PE work? Also, with how accelerated recruiting is, most places are hiring before you even start that sophomore internship. Appreciate any feedback.
