How common is drug testing in toronto for new hires in IB/PE. I'm assuming they dont care about weed because its legal but do they test for other things?

Not allowed by Canadian law. There is no drug testing of any kind
It doesn't happen in Canada to my knowledge (worked for 3 different banks). The scope where an employer in Canada can legally drug test employees is very narrow (basically only safety sensitive workplaces) and banks wouldn't fit within this scope.
