EB FIG teams?

Wonder how the various EBs figure in FIG the fig space? If we were to tier the various EBs / EB-esque firms, how would the rankings look? Aware some of them run generalist (at the analyst level, at least) but more looking at FIG-related reputation and deal flow. Also throwing in the FIG boutiques (specifically Ardea)

Between EVR, PJT, CVP, LAZ, MOE, PWP, GHL, GUGG, etc.

most of them really focus on alts with the exception of CVP. CVP does some banks and card but they’re largely the outlier in these verticals. Not counting KBW or Piper in this (both do banks). This is for big ticket MnA fwiw

The least sweaty do the least deals. That said, I would go BB if you are dead set on FIG as it’s important to be a lender for capital intensive businesses. Of the EBs, Evercore/PJT the best for alts. (with Ardea very close; they also cover insurance decently) and arguably CVP best for banks/card. Lazard has a good relationship with Apollo FIG to my understanding but doesn’t do too much beyond that.

Obviously based on your vertical but overall, these are the top EBs for FIG: EVR, Ardea, Piper (MM deals), Fenchurch, LAZ . For some reason we (BB) never see CVP, Moelis on a year to year basis, they pop up on two to three deals per year and that’s about it.

I really can’t remember any other of the EBs I’ve seen tbh but maybe there’s a reason why
