Elite Boutique Analyst 3 makes more than an Associate 2 at JPM

Why? Why does some kid 3 yrs out of college generating more guap than me a second year big baller at JP Morgan. Why is my base salary less than my peers at middle market and lower bulges? Seriously why does a dude in NC Charlotte get a higher base than me at a Tier 1 city where you need to be a kardashian to buy a 1 bedroom apartment?

Please Jamie Dimon raise the base salary for associates. We can't afford to hangout with our friends at Jefferies and UBS!!!!!

It's amazing that anyone, especially post-MBAs, would recruit for a BB over EBs. If you only stayed ~3yrs in banking at the Aso level, the delta in pay during that time is now $300-$500k+, and only widens as you get to VP. But hey, I guess I can never say I worked at THE Goldman Sachs.

Some people just want to get GS/MS on their resume and exit. I would assume BB's brand name and network helps, especially if you're a post-MBA moving to corporate after.
