Has anyone used/heard of Equity Sim before? They apparently partner with bulge brackets (ex. GS, JPM, MS, BAML, Citi, UBS) for summer internships in investment banking, equity research, and sales & trading. I have an upcoming virtual interview with them this week and was wondering what they might ask? They said to prepare for both behavioral and "complex, analytical" questions. Thanks.

So if you rank well in your trading sim then you get a first round with a BB? What's the virtual interview for?
I believe there are two ways to recruit for BBs according to their site. One is through that trading sim and competing with others vs. the other way is applying on their separate application that they've partnered with BBs and then you get invited to do their virtual interview, which is probably similar to Hirevue, if not that.
Where do you apply separately? I was only able to find the trading sim platform details on their site.
I have one too; on the interview confirmation for you does it say investment banking interview also? However, if it's similar to Hirevue, then why is there a specific interview date? Why can't we do it at any time?

Did the interview today, it was pretty quick and straight ahead. Mostly basic valuation questions and a couple of behavioral questions.

How long did it take overall? how many valuation questions? hope it went well man, all the best.
They ask 5-7 questions: 2-3 basic fit questions and 3-4 basic technicals (calculate cost of equity, walk through DCF--IBD, or how do you value an investment, pitch a stock--Equity Research. Each question is timed differently so be careful.
Am I the only one who didn't get any behavioural/basic fit questions?

I did. Might just use a prior pitchbook I've used in my investment management club. I don't have time to research and create a whole report anytime soon.
This is just too much work for a chance to even get a first round.

Anyone else heard back for a CS first round via EquitySim? Anybody know what the follow up phone call this week be like/about? Will it be a a surprise interview?

I finished the video interview last month just after I finished the GS first round HireVue and heard back from them of an upcoming video interview for CS yesterday. So I guess it takes around a month for me.
I got an email saying that I got an interview but it turned out to be an accident and a glitch in their system :( Anyone else get that email?

I think at this point in the stage, they’ve already chosen their candidates to be interviewed. BTW, this is for CS in HK.
