ESG/Energy Transition/Sustainable Finance Group Exits

Interested in starting my career in any of the spaces mentioned in title. With banks starting to implement more teams in the realm of sustainability, I was wondering if anyone has insight into what potential exits from these types of groups would look like and if going to the buyside is feasible.

Definitely feasible but exits are concentrated in broad renewables/energy space. Vanilla buyout MF PE is not a typical path for example

Think along the lines of funds focusing on renewables, infra, project finance etc - as well as sustainable asset management which is growing very quickly

Would look for teams with established track records of real deals. A lot of these groups were formed quickly during the renewable SPAC boom, the top groups are the ones that have continued to put together real M&A
