I wanted to leave his name out of the title to respect the privacy of the family (so hopefully this doesn’t get taken down) but I came across a fundraiser for the associate’s family. The picture shows he has two kids + wife. Not sure if they're able to receive army pension, healthcare, etc. plus losing presumably the main breadwinner salary.
I don’t think you understand the cost of losing a primary breadwinner. He didn’t die in combat so they might’ve not even had a civilian life insurance policy set up. 1 million is probably not enough to provide what he could’ve to his family.
