EUROPE: 2 year break (personal project failed and family emergency)

Graduated with a great GPA from an Ivy League university, did 1 year of banking at a bulge bracket in London in a top industry group, was recruiting for top buy side and then hit with a family emergency and had to quit my job. Helped start an investing related "project"/LLC that was registered in Delaware that ultimately failed because of fundraising problems, traveled extensively (lots of crazy stories) and now am back to zero.

  • What should I do? I'm aiming to return to banking or PE in London but am an American citizen. No debt/problems with liquidity at the moment but also STRONGLY prefer not to do a masters/MBA unless I get a scholarship. Considered Germany because of "free" education and potential home in Munich but want to go back to work ASAP.
