Recruiter screens in EVR-style processes are almost  entirely behavioral and logistical - they are checking  communication, genuine interest, and baseline fit, not  your DCF. Expect: walk me through your resume, why IB,  why Evercore specifically, and logistics like location  preference and timeline. Know your story cold in 90  seconds. The two things that actually get people cut  at this stage: a rambling resume walkthrough, and a  generic why-Evercore answer - name something real, a  deal, a group, or a person you spoke with. A light  technical like the three statements is possible but  not the point of this call. Have 2-3 sharp questions  ready about process and next steps - screens are  short, and the questions you ask are half the  impression.
