Excel & PPT skills for summer associates
I am an incoming summer associate at a BB. I am worried that my excel and power point skills are pretty basic. what can I do to improve my skills? I have about 3 weeks until my internship
Look at and build excel models from scratch, make sure you're using all the shortcuts and don't use your mouse. It'll save you time and will make you look more competent to analysts. For powerpoint, build decks from scratch, learn all the shortcuts (align, make logos transparent, make charts and graphs, etc.) Excel and PPT is all about reps and just being familiar with it. The more you do the better you get at it.
Great advice. Working through the BIWS interview guide course and realizing I'm uncomfortable with the excel modeling shortcuts. Any specific course you recommend to brush up on this?

You're not going to be given a modeling test during recruiting. I'd 1) enjoy your summer before school and 2) focus on the interview guide, not anything related to powerpoint/excel until after you land an offer.
