Execution-focused Directors and MD's?
Are there MD's or very senior bankers that focus on M&A deal execution? It's a significantly different skillset to originate deals vs efficiently executing a M&A process so it'd seem like it'd make sense to specialize.
The standard career path is to move from executing deals (VP, ED) to bringing in new deals (MD), but are there banks where there's more functional separation? Or examples where MD/senior bankers pair up and split responsibilities in this manner?
