Exit Opportunity Market Check

Wanted to get some thoughts from anyone who has successfully exited industry to another finance role (Corp Dev, Strategy, similar) recently. Associate level exits would be most interesting.

Hiring market seems difficult. Senior associate at highly regarded (how silly) BB looking to leave.

Thanks. I think my expectations are quite reasonable (Corp Dev, median comp) but seems really bad in general. Actually seems worse than it’s been last few years.

Good article and unfortunately not surprising to read. Figured we were at ‘09 levels for some metrics and it looks like the unemployed with BA degree chart spells that out.

Serious concerns about recession / a downturn so I imagine its worse than a year ago. Around this time last year, a former manager landed a similar Corp Strat type of role after getting laid off but it took awhile and I don't think they got a comp bump (never asked but salaries in general are down across the board at most jobs unfortunately)./
