Exit Opps for Lower MM Bankers?
I am a sophomore in college and recently accepted SA 2027 role at a MM in NYC. They are growing the practice in America, especially NYC and have a lot of ex CS and other BB MDs. However they are still normally ranked in the C tier. What are the opportunities going to look like for an analysts at a bank like that? I mostly see people talking about BB or EB exits.
Congrats on Societe Generale!
I’m thinking Santander
I’m thinking CIBC
Bruh Santander not LMM and has solid exits / looks depending on the group, including MF
I spent a year working in-house at an LMM bank. Here are the exits I saw from alumni and current / future bankers from my time there
1. Going up market to an MM or even BB sometimes depending on circumstances
2. Rising the ranks at such LMM to even making MD
3. Going to a corporate client in house to do finance for them, M&A, Corp dev etc
4. Potentially sliding to like LMM PE / search fund / fundless sponsor but rarer
I hope this helps 🤝
What would you say was the most common? Jc
Ever think about starting a lawn care company?
