Final Round FT IBD Position-2 interviews?

Just got back from what I think was a final round for FT IBD position but it only consisted of 2 interviews with senior people. Is this a good or bad sign?

There is some background to the story. I originally interviewed for a MO risk position which went well but ultimately the firm couldn't make the hire for bureaucratic/capacity reasons. The MD who pushed for me in that role ended up pushing me to his FO group afterwards. I arrived to the office and expected 3hrs of interviews but only stayed for 1hr. Overall the interviews went well but I'm still confused as to why they only scheduled me with two people, neither of whom were analysts/associates. What's your thoughts?

I don't think this is that weird. For one of my final rounds this time around, I only had 2 2 on 1 interviews (1 hour total), and I got the call later that night.

It is possible. When you have support of MD they might have accepted you after 1h.

This is most likely the case...OR you completely blew it somehow and they didnt want to waste time for you to interview with others. Most likely the first scenario, congrats, but i've also heard someone being asked to leave after 1 hr of a 4 hr superday and he got dinged unfortunately.

but if you got an MD bringing you in, id be more inclined to think you got it :)

I don't throw darts at a board. I bet on sure things. Read Sun-tzu, The Art of War. Every battle is won before it is ever fought- GG
