First Headhunter Call
I know I'm a little late to the game - at this point, might just be angling to do thee years and get in a good position now for next year's recruiting cycle - but I have an intro call with a headhunter tomorrow. It's only going to be around ~20-30 minutes. Any input on what I should expect? Thanks!
From my experience, be prepared to talk them through your resume quickly and talk about your sector(s) and transaction experience. You should also be able to give them an idea what you want (better bank, PE, HF, etc), where and when. They might ask you with whom you're working and whether you can recommend other people. I'd be a bit cautious on these. You can ask whether they usually work on exclusive mandates, etc.
Who you are, background, what you're interested in, pe vs. hf, sector and location preferences if any, what you like/don't like about current position, job responsibilities, deal/transaction experience
