Note some are def more VC and some are more farmland investors. Many of the big funds will have an ag angle sometimes such as TPG, and seems like family offices can be pretty receptive as well. Definitely not a comprehensive list (particularly lacking on farmland side)

would you say NEP has strong relevant experience in food? Have a couple active portco's in the space but not sure if its a space theyre very active in

They are into consumer businesses, and although historically preferred ag or food distribution and specialty manufacturing, they have reoriented focus on brands and branded businesses. So, I wouldn't put them in the same league as others, but worth approaching in a broad process.

 

What interests you about Agri and Food?

I'm contemplating looking into agri and food lending in lending in California, for a the N.A. part of a European bank. I'm not sure if it'll pidgeon hole me or be one of those interesting, unique off-the-beaten-path experiences.
